The new Joomla powered home page of the Krohn family is now online. Here you'll get an overview of what you'll find on HeiDoc.net.

News from heidoc.net

This site was created in 2008, and more contents is constantly added. You can visit the "Cambodia Mission Blog" which was created in 2006 as "Ghana Mission Blog" when Jan helped out in computer support at the Ghana Institute of Linguistics and Bible Translation (GILLBT) for a couple of weeks, and was re-opened when we went on a mission trip to Cambodia as a family. The photo gallery contains some family photos and some impressions from our trip to Cambodia. Please leave a message in the guest book as well!

Many bits and pieces of Jan's SAP/ABAP and XSLT knowledge have already made their way to this site as well. His work from university is also available for download here.

Another purpose of this site is to offer up to date Bible translations to use on mobile phones. The software for this has been developped by Jolon Faichney. Jan has created an application for the German Volxbibel version, and will very soon provide a tool to create Go Bible applications from Bible texts found on the internet.

What is HeiDoc?

HeiDoc is a SAP project at Heidelberg printing machines Jan has been involved with (Heidelberg Documentation). The domain was still available, so Jan grabbed it. Laughing

Newsflash

There are currently no Bible applications for cellphones available that use the text of licensed Bible translations. However, the complete text of many versions (New International Version, English Standard Version, New King James, the German Luther 1984, Einheitsübersetzung, Schlachter and many more) is publicly available on the web. A new tool will be available soon to help you create Go Bible versions with the texts from the internet.
