Windows 10 IoT Enterprise is a full version of Windows 10 that delivers enterprise manageability and security to IoT solutions. Windows 10 IoT Enterprise shares all the benefits of the world-wide Windows ecosystem. It is equivalent to Windows 10 Enterprise, but also includes optimizations for dedicated devices with limited storage. This means you can use the same familiar development and management tools as client PCs and laptops.

IMPORTANT: For successful product activation, you must follow all steps below in order:

1. Insert your media into the target device and boot into Windows 10 setup
2. When prompted for product key, select "I do not have a product key" option
3. When you hit the Out-Of-Box-Experience, press Ctrl+Shift+F3 to put the device into Audit Mode. For more information on the Out-Of-Box-Experience and Audit mode see https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/manufacture/desktop/audit-mode-overview
   Note: This will cause the device to reboot
4. After reboot, cancel the Sysprep dialog that you see on your screen. For more information on Sysprep, see https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/manufacture/desktop/sysprep--system-preparation--overview
5. In Audit mode, launch elevated command prompt and apply the product key using the following command in the command prompt window
• slmgr /ipk XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX
6. Make any modifications required such as installing 3rd party drivers, etc. Once complete continue with next step
7. Launch elevated command prompt and run the following commands in the below order
• reg add "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SoftwareProtectionPlatform" /v BackupProductKeyDefault /t REG_SZ /d "BBBBB-BBBBB-BBBBB-BBBBB-BBBBB" /
• slmgr /cpky
• Sysprep /oobe /generalize /quit
• reg add HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup\OOBE /v SetupDisplayedProductKey /t REG_DWORD /d 1
8. Exit command prompt and shutdown or restart
